Service Terms
Last updated November 2026.
Light ownership
All lights, decor and hardware installed by Plenty of Lights remain the property of Plenty of Lights for the full rental term, unless you exercise the buyout option below. Your display is yours to enjoy all season, but it is not sold to you as part of your seasonal rate.
Buyout option
At January takedown, you may purchase your full display for 50% of this season's rental price. Once purchased, the lights and hardware become your property and are no longer covered by our service calls, storage or next-season pricing.
Buyout terms
Buyout items are sold as-is with no warranty. Only items listed on your invoice are included.
Deposits and payment
A deposit may be required to confirm your install date. The remaining balance is due upon completion of installation. Returning customers renewing by March 1 lock in a 10% discount for the next season, and a 2-season plan locks in 15% off each season. These discounts do not combine with each other or with the military discount. We apply whichever saves you more.
Deposits and cancellation
Deposits are fully refundable if you cancel at least 7 days before your install date. Cancellations within 7 days forfeit the deposit.
Roof and ladder access
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to your roofline, gutters and yard for installation, service and takedown. We use clips only and never drill or nail into your home.
HOA and underground lines
You're responsible for any HOA approval. Please tell us about sprinkler lines, invisible dog fences or other buried lines before we place walkway stakes.
Right to decline
We may decline or adjust any part of an install we judge unsafe, including steep, icy or damaged rooflines.
Outlets and power
Customer provides at least one working, grounded GFCI outdoor outlet within reach of the display. Plenty of Lights is not responsible for display failures caused by inadequate or malfunctioning power supply.
Electricity
You cover the cost of electricity to run your display.
Storms and weather
Severe weather, including high wind, snow and ice, can affect your display. We will repair storm damage as part of your included service calls as soon as conditions safely allow.
Scheduling and weather
Install dates may shift due to weather or safety conditions. We'll reschedule as soon as conditions allow.
Service calls
Free service calls are included for the full season. Text us about any issue, including a bulb out or a timer problem, and we aim to fix it within 48 hours, weather permitting.
Takedown in early January
We remove, pack and store your entire display in early January at no additional cost, unless you have chosen the buyout option.
Multi-season plans and early cancellation
Multi-season plans lock in a discounted rate for each season covered. If you cancel a multi-season plan early, you agree to repay the discount applied to past seasons at the original rate.
Non-payment
If the balance isn't paid within 14 days of install, we may remove the display.
Damage to existing gutters or shingles
Our no-nail clip system is designed to avoid damage to gutters, shingles and trim. Plenty of Lights will repair any damage directly caused by our installation or takedown. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or normal wear.
Damage, theft and tampering
Please don't move, unplug or remove any part of the display. You're responsible for lights lost, stolen or damaged by anyone other than our crew, including pets and visitors, at our replacement cost.
Liability
Our liability is limited to the cost of your seasonal service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Photos
We may photograph your display for our website and social media. We never share your address. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.
Agreement and changes
By booking, you agree to these terms. These terms are governed by Indiana law and may be updated. The version in place when you book applies to your season.
